The machine TOM5 is designed for sharpening laps and other bodies of revolution (drills, cutters, cores, etc.) with any range of angles with their installation in prism-holders.
An abrasive (grinding) stone in the form of a cup is used as a working tool in the machine.

Grinding machine TOM-5 consists of a base (item 13). On the base there is a movable table along the X axis (item 1), a movable table along the Y axis (item 2), a rotary table (item 5) with an electric drive of the body of rotation (item 6), prisms (item 9) and a protractor (item 7). On the body of the prisms there is a support of the body of revolution (item 4) for installing the lap (body of revolution) (item 10). On the base, on the left, there is a table with an electric motor and an abrasive stone (item 5), on the right there is a control unit (item 14) on which the control panel (item 15) is installed. LED backlight lamp with magnification lens (item 8) is installed on the base behind the control unit. Power supplies with control boards are installed inside the machine body (item 3).
The machine is installed on adjustable damping feet (item 12). A level (pos. 11) is set on the base to control the correct installation of the machine. To protect against sparks and abrasives when working with a stone (item 16), a yellow protection is installed on the motor housing (item 17)
On the back of the machine there is a socket for connecting a 220 volt power cable, a switch for backlighting a diode lamp and a 220 volt socket with a protective cover for additional devices.
